“The Mirrored Sky” Published in Orchards Poetry Journal
Dear readers and friends,
It’s been a while and things have gotten a little quieter lately (probably because it’s summer, and that’s been going on for a while already here in Barcelona), but rest assured that I’m still busy writing poetry and submitting to literary journals.
My latest poem, “The Mirrored Sky,” has appeared in the Summer 2023 Issue of The Orchards Poetry Journal, which is edited by Karen Kelsay Davies and Jenna Sumpter.
“The Mirrored Sky” is a rather personal poem and one of my personal favorites. The inspiration to write it came to me while reading Derek Walcott’s Selected Poems (edited by Edward Baugh). It’s my first attempt at a poem in blank verse; whether that worked out or not remains for people with more knowledge about poetry to judge.
I’d be glad if you headed over to The Orchards Poetry Journal and gave my poem a read; and if you do so, please make sure to also check out the other fantastic authors they’ve featured.
As always, thank you for your continuous support, and stay tuned for more updates on my work. And if you’d like to show your support by buying me a coffee, you can do so by clicking here. ☕
Cheers,
Max
